The First Secret

The First Secret: Nature does not open the door of the sanctuary indiscriminately to everyone.

This work is based on a series of visions triggered by a visit to a secret plateau in the Pyrenees, near Montsegur.

I painted it to help myself understand the meanings behind the symbols and entities I encountered in that place.
